箔工芸作家・裕人礫翔は、その技術を用いて
国宝や重要文化財等の複製に取り組んできました。
また同時に金箔を用いたアート作品を創り、
海外の方々へ紹介する活動を進めて参りました。
海外等でも高く評価されている裕人礫翔の箔工芸の世界の魅力を
広く一般の方に知って頂くことが出来るように、
そして たくさんの方々に知っていただくことで、
結果としてその伝統の技を継承していきます
The ancient capital of Kyoto is a treasure trove of arts and artisanry, but the integrity of these works is threatened by the passage of time. Gold Leaf Kyoto is addressing the threat by combining advanced image processing technologies with craft traditions passed down from over the generations. Preserving our cultural heritage while creating a new beauty for our times is the essence of what we do at Gold Leaf Kyoto. The awe-inspiring beauty that was created over the past twelve centuries and is even now being practiced in Kyoto is something that we would like future generations here in Japan and more people overseas to appreciate. That is our fervent wish, and is the inspiration that motivates us in our work. Taking the forms and artifices of past masters as a basic motif, Gold Leaf Kyoto seeks to create new spatial designs and artisanry for a new time.
